SteemSwitch is currently an alpha release firefox plugin and a little rough around the edges. We'll be smoothing it out and launching it into beta very soon. The alpha release is functional however, and if you wish to test it out you can download the latest stable version from the FireFox Add-on Repository.
Steem is a blockchain based decentralised social media platform. This means multiple sites can access and display the content and allow users to login and post. This firefox plugin allows users to switch between some of the more popular sites and analysis tools. Support for more will be added as the plugin grows.
Eventually we plan to get to support for redirecting from a web node that is down, either temporarilly or permanently, to a living node displaying the same content. This means links to content on the steem blockchain will never be broken.
