My name is Austin Steinhart (he/him) and I'm passionate about using data, design, and engineering to solve problems and tell stories that matter. I am currently a data visuals editor at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Previously, I was a data editor with the Chicago Maroon, the university's independent student newspaper, and a research engineer with the Mansueto Institute for Urban Innovation. Before that, I served as a Data Science Journalism Fellow with the Mansueto Institute's Local Data Journalism Initiative researching bus service across the city of Chicago. Before before that, I worked on the analytics team at the Democratic National Committee and led youth programming at Changeist.
