Remove Ubique ad.
The statement is in contradiction to

"This project is truly open-source and we welcome any feedback on the code regarding both the implementation and security aspects. [...] We welcome all pull requests that improve the quality of the source code. "

IMHO credit goes to the contributors

I don't agree. Open source is open code, but still have credits ad rules.
If you really want you can add people name in the credits, or if someone write a code and release it under license for example GPL, LGPL etc, you can name him in the code and license.
Or just make a Credits file and name all the contributors, that maybe is the best solution.
But in the end the apps and original code are owned, made and manteined by Ubique.
