Admin Guide
This is your content management tool. Log in with your GitHub account at /admin on the site (your account needs access to the website's GitHub repository). Once in, you'll see a sidebar — each entry controls a different part of the website. Click an entry, edit, save, and the site updates a minute or two later.
These sections let you add new entries or remove old ones.
Blog posts shown on the site. Each post has a title, date, short description, cover image, and body text. Write the body like a regular document — no code needed.
Listings for retail stores in the village. Fields include name, subtitle, tags, suite number, phone, website, Instagram, Facebook, full location text, cover photo, interior photo, vertical photo, hours (split into Mon–Thu and Fri–Sun blocks), coordinates for the map pin, and a body description. The Published toggle controls whether the listing appears on the site.
Same shape as Shops, but for restaurants and cafés. Hours here are per day (Monday through Sunday).
Same shape as Shops, for art galleries.
One-time or recurring events. Set the title, start and end date/time, location, image, optional video, subtitle, and a description. Scheduling supports single date, date range, weekly, monthly, or yearly recurrence — pick the type and (for weekly) which weekdays apply. There's also an annual flag, an optional override for how the dates are displayed, and a multi-stage program schedule (performer names and times). You can add contact info (phone, website, email, Instagram, Facebook) and a map call-to-action block. The Published toggle hides events without deleting them.
Listings for wedding venues. Includes name, subtitle, cover image, intro text, and a site plan image with description.
Per-venue page content — the sections (with images and detail lists) shown on each wedding venue page. The slug here must match the slug of the matching Weddings entry, otherwise the page will not link correctly.
Articles tied to a specific wedding venue. Each article links to one venue (by category/slug), and can include a title, subtitle, an optional external link, multiple images, and body text.
These sections are fixed — you update the content inside them, but you can't add or remove them.
The homepage is built from eight cards, each edited separately: Banner, Village Map, Calendar, What's New, Our Magazine, Weddings & Private Events, Filming & Photography Permits, and Lost Something?. Each has its own text, images, and links.
The set of navigation tiles shown on the home page (titles, descriptions, types).
Individual content pages. Each has its own text fields, hero image, and any page-specific blocks:
- About
- Contacts
- Hours & Locations
- History
- Gift Cards
- Leasing
- Parking
- Filming & Photography
- Village Map Page
- Weddings
- Wedding FAQ
- News Page
- Events Page
- Shops / Food / Galleries index pages
- Magazines Archive
- Newsletter
- Connect With Us
- Call for Submission
Two global pieces:
- Site Configuration — app name, weather/directions/Mapbox URLs, submission worker URL.
- Footer — contact info (phone, email, address), social links, awards list, newsletter title.
Change these here and they update everywhere on the site.
Labels and descriptions for the interactive village map: sidebar text (search placeholder, filter labels), area names, defaults for point types (restrooms, parking, ATM, shuttle stops, and so on), and per-point overrides for individual locations.
Fallback village hours (Monday–Sunday) used when a listing doesn't have its own hours set.
Shared labels used across Shops, Food, and Galleries detail pages — Location, Hours, Phone, Website, Village Map, etc.
After making changes, click Save at the top right. Changes go live once the site rebuilds — this usually takes 1–2 minutes.
- Images — Upload photos directly by clicking the image field. Use JPG or WebP, keep files under 2MB when possible.
- Hours — Leave a day blank if the place is closed that day. Shops and Galleries use two blocks (Mon–Thu, Fri–Sun); Food & Dining is per day.
- Published toggle — Shops, Food, Galleries, and Events all have one. Turn it off to hide an entry without deleting it.
-
Coordinates — Format is
longitude, latitude(example:-111.76260, 34.86350). Leave blank if unsure. - Slugs must match — Wedding Page Data and Wedding Articles connect to a venue by its slug. A typo will break the link.
- Body text — The main description field supports basic formatting: bold, italic, links, and paragraph breaks. Use the toolbar above the text area.
