appreciate the effort here, but in its current form the workflow feels quite fragile and difficult to validate mentally...... There are enough small inconsistencies and potential edge cases that I don’t feel confident merging this as-is:///
I’m going to block this PR for now and would prefer to see a simplified and more consistent version before revisiting;-)
