AppleContainerGUI is a simple app made for macOS users. It shows containers, images, volumes, networks, snapshots, and logs in one neat place. Normally, you would use a command line to manage these items, but this app puts everything behind buttons and menus. This makes it easier to understand what’s happening and what you control.
The app uses native macOS tools to make sure it fits well on your Mac. You don't need to type commands or remember long instructions. It works with Apple Container, a system tool that handles containers and storage on Apple Silicon Macs.
AppleContainerGUI works on Apple Silicon Macs with the following:
- macOS 12 Monterey or later
- Apple Silicon chip (M1, M2, or newer)
- At least 4 GB of RAM
- 100 MB of free disk space for installation
- Internet connection for download and updates
The app does not support Intel-based Macs or other platforms.
You can get AppleContainerGUI from the official GitHub release page.

- Containers: View all running or stopped containers and start, stop, or remove them.
- Images: See downloaded container images. You can remove images you do not need.
- Volumes: Manage storage volumes used by containers.
- Networks: Check networks that connect your containers.
- Snapshots: View snapshots of container states to save or restore.
- Logs: Read logs to understand what containers are doing.
Each section gives you a list and options you can click. This prevents mistakes often made with typed commands.
