🍏 AppleContainerGUI - Visual Tool to Manage Containers

Download AppleContainerGUI

🍎 About AppleContainerGUI

AppleContainerGUI is a simple app made for macOS users. It shows containers, images, volumes, networks, snapshots, and logs in one neat place. Normally, you would use a command line to manage these items, but this app puts everything behind buttons and menus. This makes it easier to understand what’s happening and what you control.

The app uses native macOS tools to make sure it fits well on your Mac. You don't need to type commands or remember long instructions. It works with Apple Container, a system tool that handles containers and storage on Apple Silicon Macs.

🖥️ System Requirements

AppleContainerGUI works on Apple Silicon Macs with the following:

  • macOS 12 Monterey or later
  • Apple Silicon chip (M1, M2, or newer)
  • At least 4 GB of RAM
  • 100 MB of free disk space for installation
  • Internet connection for download and updates

The app does not support Intel-based Macs or other platforms.

🔧 What You Can Do With AppleContainerGUI

AppleContainerGUI helps you manage several parts of Apple Container quickly and clearly. You do not need to type commands. Instead, you use buttons and menus.

Main Features:

  • Containers: View all running or stopped containers and start, stop, or remove them.
  • Images: See downloaded container images. You can remove images you do not need.
  • Volumes: Manage storage volumes used by containers.
  • Networks: Check networks that connect your containers.
  • Snapshots: View snapshots of container states to save or restore.
  • Logs: Read logs to understand what containers are doing.

Each section gives you a list and options you can click. This prevents mistakes often made with typed commands.

📦 Updates and Maintenance

Check the release page regularly to see if a new version is available. Updates can include:

  • Bug fixes
  • Performance improvements
  • New features

To update, follow the download and install instructions again. The app does not update automatically.

🛠 Troubleshooting Tips

If AppleContainerGUI does not start or work as expected:

  • Make sure your macOS is updated to version 12 or later.
  • Check that you are on an Apple Silicon Mac.
  • Restart your Mac and try launching the app again.
  • Ensure you downloaded the correct .dmg or .zip file from the release page.
  • If it does not open, right-click the app icon and select Open to bypass security restrictions.
  • Look at logs inside the app to see error messages that might help.

If problems continue, consider searching the GitHub issues page on the repository for similar cases.

📖 How to Use AppleContainerGUI

The interface uses clear labels and lists:

  • Clicking a container shows details and options.
  • Image sections include buttons to pull or remove images.
  • Volumes and networks can be viewed or deleted with a click.
  • Snapshot management lets you save or restore container states.
  • Log files appear in an easy-to-read format.
