Motivation

• Provide our community with a relevant, well thought out, high quality logo.
• Make our community more attractive to prospective new people
• Engage the existing community in a fun contest
  • See notes in Format section on how I think we can engage more than just the logo creators.

Format

• Week 0 - Announcement
• Week 1 - Idea Submission
  • All are welcome to submit ideas, even if they have no artistic abilities.
  • This will be a great way to both generate creative ideas and allow the non-artistically inclined to participate. Some people are great at coming up with ideas, others are great at executing on them.
• Weeks 2 to 3 - Content Creation
  • All creators are given 2 weeks to create a logo.
  • To encourage diverse ideas, creators will be allowed to submit up to 3 different logos
• Week 4 - Community Rankings
  • Community will be surveyed and asked to pick their top 3
• Week 5 - Top 3 Refactor
  • Creators will be given 1 week to refactor their submissions based on community feedback
• Week 6 - Final Vote & Winner Announced
  • Can do community vote again or do an contest/admin panel that awards based on how well-met the criteria was

Content Requirements

• Must be Unreal themed (Unreal or just Unreal Tournament 2004?)
• Must meet discord size requirements (will look these up if accepted)
• Must be clearly visible / able to tell what it is from logo size
• Must be of .xyz file type (will decide with content experts ahead of time)
• Bonus: Clearly demonstrate your personal love for Unreal (explanation required)

Rules

• No more than 3 submissions per creator.
• No NSFW content
• Genuine submissions only. Creators are allowed to make submissions for fun but only genuine submissions will be considered.
  • Admin note: This is to prevent troll submissions and people voting for them because they think it's funny
• Ties decided by admin vote, final refactoring, something else...
• Optional: Admin/Owner decision. If Admin/Owner does not like the logos, we don't have to use any of them. We can find a different way to present the content and still award all prizes.

• Exclusive Discord role(s)

  • Some cool role name someone thinks up
• Something for each creator that made it to the final 3 submissions
• $xx.yy - somewhere in the $20 range. If more people interested in contributing, we can pool resources.

More Ideas

• Simultaneous banner contest. Creators can submit content for both and we'll run both contests at once. Prizes for both.
