Testing a Language File

Please test your language file

  • Before submitting a new translation or an updated language file, the file must be checked using the new Check Language File tool found here. The reason for this requirement is because a duplicate key in a language file will invalidate the entire file at runtime. If this happens, TimVer will revert to using English (en-US).

  • You can also test the file using the procedure outlined here. Note that the linked page is for another application (Get My IP), but the procedure is the same for TimVer. Using this method allows you to see the translated phrases in the app.
