Static targets

Attacking a static target (unconscious body, etc.) is an automatic hit with a melee weapon.

Multiple weapons

This is about using multiple weapons at the same time.

A character can only wield one weapon per hand (or other prehensile appendage). There is a -5 penalty per each additional weapon to all attack rolls (so Olly the octopus, weilding three swords, makes three attacks, all at -10).

Certain skills may reduce the penalty.

Other weapons and no weapons

If you attempt to fight with a weapon you are not trained in, you can use half the skill of a weapon you are trained in.

A character can likewise use half their melee skill if they have no unarmed skill (with damage d4).

Ammo

We do not bother to track arrows, crossbow bolts, arquebus ammo, but characters are still expected to stock up occasionally! Thrown weapons are tracked; you can carry a maximum of 2 spears or five throwing knives.

Reach
