All features here must have PixelTweaks installed on the client to have these changes

Shiny Sparkle Effect

Shiny pokemon will now give off a sparkle effect - the same one from Legends Arceus!

The sparkle effect will only play for pokemon directly visible to the player. Therefore the effect will not play for pokemon behind walls, or for pokemon out of range. The range defaults to 20 blocks away, but is configurable.

#The range in which shinies will sparkle. Set to -1 to disable. Default: 20.0

#The volume of the shiny sparkle sound. Set to 0 to disable. Default and maximum: 1.0

PixelTweak Events

PixelTweak adds events for resource packs. Here are some things you can do with events

Battle Music

PixelTweaks adds the ability for Resource Packs to define battle music for specific situations. You can have battle music for

  • Specific pokemon
  • Pokemon battled in a biome
  • Pokemon battled in certain dimensions
  • Battling raid pokemon
  • Battling trainers, or specific type of trainers
  • Battling players, or specific players
  • Specific dates and times
  • In game times of day and weather

Pokemon Texture Overlays

Like battle music, you can add overlays for pokemon. The benefit to this is you can add textures in certain situations, or change textures without requiring the use of a datapack

This allows you to do things like add emissive (glow in the dark) textures to pokemon, or add a transparent snow overlay texture to pokemon when it snows.

Event Configuration

All events are defined in /assets/<namespace>/pixelevents/<event>.json. For more information, see Events

JEI Integration

PixelTweaks add proper JEI Integration. This includes

  • Making pokeballs, TMs and HMs show in JEI
  • Adds JEI recipes for pokemon drops
  • Adds JEI recipes for pokeloot
  • Adds JEI recipes for the infuser

Currently, you must go into a single player world before joining multiplayer to see these. This will be fixed in a future PixelTweaks update.

Bosses

Bosses have been tweaked slightly. Their colors are better, and the color of the boss now shows in the sprite when battling it.
