Description

XRT is the utility token that will make it possible to control IoT devices on top of the Ethereum network and the Robonomics parachain in Polkadot ecosystem.

Robonmics is a Polkadot parachain and ERC20 token on Ethereum. This PR aims to use Snowbridge to bring XRT to Polkadot.

Hey @akru, do you just want to bridge the XRT token to Asset Hub and the Robonomics chain?

There are a few steps that need to happen in the Robonomics chain runtime before it can accept Snowbridge tokens.

1. An HRMP channel open between Asset Hub and Robonomics chain.
2. Robonomics chain must accept DOT as an execution fee for XCM.
3. Robonomics chain must be able to store the bridged assets and DOT in a pallet such as orml-tokens or pallet-assets.
4. Support Asset Hub as a reserve for DOT and Bridged Assets in the Robonomics xcm configuration.
5. Support a fairly current version of pallet-xcm. One that has the pallet-xcm.transferAssetsUsingTypeAndThen
6. If Robonomics requires EVM support then there needs to be a precompile created for pallet-xcm.transferAssetsUsingTypeAndThen extrinsic so that it can be signed by ethereum wallets.
