Description

CheckBox and Radio lists field types don't support the required validation for the MVC form.

Compatibility

The release was built for and tested with the following Sitecore products in bare condition (no hotfixes, patches or other customizations, unless explicitly specified):

  • Sitecore CMS 7.2 rev. 140526 (Update-2)
  • Web Forms for Marketers 2.4 rev. 141008 (Update-2)

Installation

For all Sitecore instances in the solution:

  1. Make a backup of the files mentioned in Contents section that already exist in Website folder.
  2. Extract the contents of the archive to the Website folder, overwrite existing files if any conflicts occur.
  3. Set MVC Type field value of the /sitecore/system/Modules/Web Forms for Marketers/Settings/Field Types/List Types/Radio List item in master db to "Sitecore.Support.Forms.Mvc.Models.Fields.RadioListField,Sitecore.Support.66962".
  4. Set MVC Type field value of the /sitecore/system/Modules/Web Forms for Marketers/Settings/Field Types/List Types/Checkbox List item in master db to "Sitecore.Support.Forms.Mvc.Models.Fields.CheckBoxListField,Sitecore.Support.66962".
  5. Save and publish the changes.

Uninstallation

  1. Remove the files listed in the Contents section.
  2. Restore the original files from the backup made during installation.

Important Notes

  • The patch should be installed only if recommended by Sitecore Support.

Instructions
  1. Download the Sitecore.Support.66962-2.4.1.0.zip file.
  2. Extract the archive to the Website folder of all Sitecore instances in the solution.
  3. Set MVC Type field value of the /sitecore/system/Modules/Web Forms for Marketers/Settings/Field Types/List Types/Radio List item in master db to "Sitecore.Support.Forms.Mvc.Models.Fields.RadioListField,Sitecore.Support.66962"
  4. Set MVC Type field value of the /sitecore/system/Modules/Web Forms for Marketers/Settings/Field Types/List Types/Checkbox List item in master db to "Sitecore.Support.Forms.Mvc.Models.Fields.CheckBoxListField,Sitecore.Support.66962"
  5. Publish all changes
