46.0.5 - 2026-02-10

* An attacker could create a malicious public key that reveals portions of your
private key when using certain uncommon elliptic curves (binary curves).
This version now includes additional security checks to prevent this attack.
This issue only affects binary elliptic curves, which are rarely used in
real-world applications. Credit to **XlabAI Team of Tencent Xuanwu Lab and
Atuin Automated Vulnerability Discovery Engine** for reporting the issue.
  **CVE-2026-26007**
* Support for ``SECT*`` binary elliptic curves is deprecated and will be
  removed in the next release.

🤖 Claude Code Review

PR Code Review

Summary: This PR bumps the cryptography dependency from 46.0.4 to 46.0.5 in pyproject.toml.

Code Quality

  • Style guide: Single dependency version bump — no style concerns.
  • No commented-out code: N/A
  • Meaningful variable names: N/A
  • DRY principle: N/A
  • Defects: No logic changes introduced. The bump is a patch version update (46.0.446.0.5) to the cryptography library, which typically contains security fixes or bug patches.
  • CLAUDE.md: No issues with project memory configuration.

Testing

  • Unit/integration tests: No code logic changed; existing tests should cover this.
  • Edge cases: N/A for a dependency bump.
  • Test coverage: N/A

Documentation

  • README: No changes needed for a patch dependency bump.
  • API docs: N/A
  • Inline comments: N/A
  • CHANGELOG.md: No CHANGELOG.md update was included. Dependency bumps, especially security-related ones for cryptography, should typically be noted in the changelog.
  • Markdown formatting: N/A

Security

  • No hardcoded credentials: N/A
  • Input validation: N/A
  • Error handling: N/A
  • No sensitive data in logs: N/A
  • No license files (.lic): None present.
  • Security note: The cryptography library is a security-sensitive dependency. Patch bumps like this are generally safe and often address CVEs — this is a positive change.

Overall Assessment

This is a minimal, low-risk dependency bump. The only minor concern is the missing CHANGELOG.md entry for the version update. All other checklist items pass.
