Automated HTML PDF conversion

Function

Paperight's HTML-PDF conversion software allows us to automate the creation of a Paperight PDF using existing HTML. The HTML is flowed into a regular PDF format, which is then placed automatically onto a Paperight-style PDF format.

Process

Amending an existing product (from webpage):

1. Go to www.paperight.com/server, and log in using your username and password
2. Select the “New HTML Conversion” option from Products menu in the lefthand column
3. Tick the “Amend existing product” option at the top of the page
   1. A search field will pop up. In the “Search products...” field, search for the product you wish to amend. You can search by ISBN/UUID, Title, or Author
   2. Select the product you wish to amend
4. Choose the HTML location (webpage)
5. Select a CSS
6. Select the output layout (1-up, 2-up, A5)
7. Click “Convert”
8. You are auto-directed to a metadata page, that also has preview options
   1. Download previews (1-up, 2-up, A5)
   2. Update product on site

Amending an existing product (via HTML file on FTP site):

1. Open EPUB in Sigil and do any scrubbing you may need. Compile separate chapters into full HTML document, by using the CRTL+right click, “Merge with previous” function in Sigil. Extract HTML files from .epub file by changing the file extension to .zip and extracting all
2. Upload the combined HTML file onto the FTP site, into the folder called “HTML”
3. Go to www.paperight.com/server, and log in using your username and password
4. Select the “New HTML Conversion” option from Products menu in the lefthand column
5. Tick the “Amend existing product” option at the top of the page
   1. A search field will pop up. In the “Search products...” field, search for the product you wish to amend. You can search by ISBN/UUID, Title, or Author
   2. Select the product you wish to amend
6. Choose the location of the file in the HTML folder on the FTP server. e.g. 9780992201746_two-faced-friends_20139528.html. If you place the file in a folder: two-faced-friends_dorothy-dyer/9780992201746_two-faced-friends_20139528.html
7. Select a CSS
8. Select the output layout (1-up, 2-up, A5)
9. Click “Convert”
10. You are auto-directed to a metadata page, that also has preview options
    1. Download previews (1-up, 2-up, A5)
    2. Update product on site

Upload new product (via webpage):

1. Go to www.paperight.com/server, and log in using your username and password
2. Select the “New HTML Conversion” option from Products menu in the lefthand column
3. Leave “Amend existing product” unchecked, and type in the url for the webpage
4. Select a CSS
5. Select the output layout (1-up, 2-up, A5)
6. Click “Convert”
7. You are auto-directed to a metadata page, that also has preview options
   1. Download previews (1-up, 2-up, A5)
   2. Click “Update” to load new product to the site

Upload new product (via HTML file on FTP site):
