The Pacific HIES Toolkit Data Applications and Analysis code examples

This repository accompanies the The Pacific HIES Toolkit Data Applications and Analysis.

It contains example code snippets in Stata and R that perform basic HIES transformations as described in this note.

Note: No microdata are included in this repository. See Accessing HIES Microdata for access.

Repository Structure

• docs/ – Documentation and rendered examples.
• src/ – Example code in R (.R) and Stata (.do).
• raw_data/ – Local-only folder for temporary raw data copies (excluded from Git).
• output/ – Rendered charts, tables, or small intermediate results (excluded from Git).

Usage

1. Clone or download this repository to your local machine.
2. Open the code examples in src/ to follow along with the guidance note.
3. Adapt and run the code with your own data.

The repository is designed as a reference resource rather than an executable pipeline.
