This repository compliments the paper Topologically frustrated structures in inkjet printed chiral nematic liquid crystal droplets - experiments and simulations.
The results of the finite difference simulations are contained in the folder simulation-output. They are organised by the simulated chiral pitch length, in simulation units.
dir.dat contains director field and order parameter info, with the four coloumns in order representing nx, ny, nz and S.
phi.dat contains the phi values for the lattice.
The high speed droplet impact recording, as used for still frames in Figure 2 of the paper, is kept in .mp4 format, annotated with timestamps.
