What: Pre-calculated searchable fields, formatted dates, and "is new" status directly onto the `pdfDatabase` objects. Why: The `renderPDFs` search loop and `createPDFCard` DOM rendering ran expensive string lowercase logic, regular expressions, and `new Date()` parses for every card, every time search input changed. Impact: Significant reduction in CPU time during high-frequency events like typing in the search box. Reduces GC pressure. Measurement: Search responsiveness during typing should be visually improved, especially as the number of PDFs in the database grows. Tested manually. What: Pre-calculated searchable fields (
_searchStr), formatted dates (_formattedDate), and "is new" status (_isNew) directly onto thepdfDatabaseobjects in a newprepareSearchIndexfunction immediately following the database load. Removed duplicate date calculations and lowerecased string concatenations from therenderPDFsloop andcreatePDFCardgeneration. Why: The
renderPDFssearch loop andcreatePDFCardDOM rendering ran expensive string lowercase logic, regular expressions, andnew Date()parses for every card, every time the search input changed.Impact: Significant reduction in CPU time during high-frequency events like typing in the search box. Reduces GC pressure by avoiding the allocation of temporary
Dateobjects inside loops.Measurement: Search responsiveness during typing should be visually improved, especially as the number of PDFs in the database grows. Tested manually and verified via local Playwright frontend test (checking
renderPDFs).PR created automatically by Jules for task 8881242032742789864 started by @MrAlokTech
