Legacy iOS Kit can be used to restore iPod touch 3rd gen and iPad 1 devices to iOS 6 (and also iOS 7 for iPad 1), iOS versions that these devices did not support.

Note: There may be an issue with booting the upgraded install on some devices, although it should be resolved in the recent updates. See issue #11 in SundanceInH2A.

Usage

1. Connect your device to your PC/Mac.
2. Start the script by running restore.sh
3. Select Restore/Downgrade -> iOS 6 or 7
4. Download/select the IPSW for:
   • iPod touch 3rd gen: iPhone2,1 - iOS 6
   • iPad 1: iPad2,1 - iOS 6 or 7
5. Download/select the IPSW for:
   • iPod touch 3rd gen: iPod3,1 - iOS 5.1.1
   • iPad 1: iPad1,1 - iOS 5.1.1
6. Start the restore.
7. Enter pwned DFU mode when prompted.
8. When the restore is done, the device should boot to your selected target version.
