## Agenda and notes

### IASSIST / regional Carpentries report
Report back on IASSIST Carpentries session; regional efforts highlighted (UC, Northeast, Midwest). New Carpentries GenAI policy noted.

### Python workshop setup options
Discussed alternatives to the current Carpentries recommended install:

- Jupyter Lite (client-side) and Positron (single-download IDE) as simpler options.

- Action item: LC Python maintainers will test setup options and discuss.


### Library Carpentry website & lessons
- PR for site updates is awaiting review (PR #86); DMP 101 is also ready to move to beta pending some internationalization and content tweaks.
- Need to update LC "flavors" that instructors can choose from to reflect pathways, once lesson page is updated with paths.

#### Action items
- Cody: follow up on site PR #86 and coordinate with Toby on merging and updating LC flavors once pathways are done.
- Tim: review DMP 101 Issues, prepare PRs as needed, and arrange a discussion with maintainers about next steps.

### Wikidata, Qual lessons, and blog posts
- Wikidata blog post in progress; authorship organized. Nicky to ensure lesson appears on LC site before posting.
- Possibility of a QualCoder/Qual lessons blog; Nathaniel to collaborate with Sebastian.

#### Action items
- Nicky: finalize Wikidata blog post.
- Nathaniel: draft Qual lessons blog post with Sebastian.

### IMLS Open Science pilots

- Draft blog post for the first wave of Open Science pilots is available for review.
- Action item for All: review the Open Science pilots blog draft (GitHub PR) and submit comments/edits.

### UC OSPO / Open source lesson idea
Discussed UC OSPO lesson potential and broader interest in academic OSPOs and supporting research software maintenance.

### Other
- Jennifer submitted a panel for ACRL.
- GenAI Teaching Community discussion scheduled tomorrow.
