Hardware Installation

First mount the BMS:

(Step 1 is optional. I don't think we actually need it since it adds extra power consumption.) 1.Attach the cooling fan to the HAT. The Red, Yellow, Black wires of the fan goes to the +, P, - of the J6 connector respectively.

  1. Attach 40 pin header to the HAT that comes with the HAT.

  2. Attach the HAT to the Raspberry Pi.

  3. Insert the protected 18650 battery into the battery holder

  4. Connect power to the UPS HAT. Use the power input of the UPS HAT to power your system. (DO NOT PLUG BOTH PI and POWER HAT IN, ONLY POWER HAT)

5.5 The BMS hat has a slot for the camera to fit through

  1. Now install the modem hat
