Cut in and cut out, TI, and multi-point coordinates
Incorporate the following PRs:
- #180, adding turbulence intensity to plant schema
- #181, fixing a bug in the way multi-point coordinates are defined
- #183, reintroducing cut in and cut out wind speeds, which were removed during the restructuring of the control block in PR #175. these two fields are now in the assembly block and adopt 3 and 25 m/s as default values
New control section
This release integrates several PR, which are discussed below. The key change is in the definition of the control section, which was aligned between NLR ROSCO and the DTU Wind Energy Controller thanks to work from @dzalkind and @tkbadtu. The change is documented in PR #175
Other improvements include:
- PR #168 , air density was missing in the farm schema
- PR #171, better documentation for the floating substructure in the turbine schema
- PR #172, converter can be called from command line
- PR #174, improved consistency in farm schema, thank you @lejeunemax
- PR #175, new control block in turbine schema
- PR #176, fix bug from rad to deg in longitudinal stiffeners of floating substructure in turbine schema
- PR #177, support for python 3.14
- PR #178, add wind shear in plant schema
Minor release
Minor release fixing a few inconsistencies and small bugs that affected v2.0.0
windIO v2.0.0
The 2.0.0 release marks the formal completion of the development work that occurred during the past year within IEA Wind Task 55 REFWIND. The development targeted several weaknesses:
Support to aero-servo-hydro-elastic solvers
More rigorous definition of blade outer shape and blade inner structure
More rigorous documentation
Stronger software backend
Many thanks to the entire development team for the outstanding achievement.
Development work will not stop here and 14 issues remain open. These are however minor and will be targeted in 2.x.y releases in the coming weeks and months
v1.1.1
Trigger Zenodo
Interim release to trigger Zenodo to release a DOI. Still working toward windIO 2.0
