This release corresponds to the version used in the technical report available at https://doi.org/10.11581/DTU.00000317. The release contains minor fixes to the HAWC2 and OpenFAST model definitions and includes additional outputs for these two codes. Additionally, the release contains a complete turbine model for the aeroelastic code QBlade.
v1.0.0 Official Release
This release marks the official completion of the design of the new IEA 22 MW offshore reference wind turbine. The design was developed between two teams at the Denmark Technical University and at NREL. Valuable input was also provided by several strategic partners of the two institutions. The design is released within IEA Wind TCP Task 55 REFWIND. The final turbine design has a rotor diameter of 284 meters and a hub height of 170 meters. The turbine is a class 1-B machine with a rotor specific power nearing 350 W m-2. The offshore turbine is mounted on a fixed-bottom offshore foundation or on a semi-submersible floating platform. A technical report describing the turbine and its design process has been finalized and will be published in the coming weeks.
