About

Telecommunications technician transitioning into RF systems engineering. I build hands-on RF simulation projects to develop real engineering skills — currently focused on link budget analysis, propagation modelling and satellite communication scenarios.

Active learner, practical mindset, looking to contribute to real RF systems in space or critical communications.


📡 Projects

RF Link Budget Simulator

Modular RF propagation and link budget toolkit — terrestrial and satellite scenarios. Implemented in Python.

Implemented:

  • Propagation models: FSPL, Log-normal shadowing, Okumura-Hata, COST 231-Hata
  • Link margin analysis and technology comparison (TETRA vs LTE)
  • Satellite scenario: GEO at 35,786 km, S-band and UHF, atmospheric loss, elevation angle analysis
  • LEO/VLEO dynamic pass simulation — orbital geometry, Doppler shift and Doppler rate, dynamic link margin, validated against STK Enterprise (AGI)
  • Interactive Jupyter notebook demos with Plotly

In progress:

  • Monte Carlo simulation for outage probability
  • Electronic Warfare module

🎯 Goals

Short term: Contribute to real RF systems in space or critical communications — applying link budget, propagation and signal analysis skills in a professional environment.

Long term: Build a solid engineering career in RF and space communications, complemented by a BEng in Telecommunications.
