Sync option display names with derived reportAttributes#84391
Draft
Sync option display names with derived reportAttributes#84391
Conversation
Add a dedicated effect in OptionsListContextProvider that watches reportAttributes.reports and updates option display names (text) when the derived value provides a name that differs from what is currently stored. This fixes the timing gap where options can be initialized before derived report names are computed, causing reports like Chronos to show "Chat Report" instead of their correct name in search results. Explanation of Change
When searching for reports like Chronos, the search results display "Chat Report" instead of the correct name. This happens because
OptionsListContextProviderinitializes options before derivedreportAttributesvalues finish computing. The fallbackreport.reportNamefrom Onyx is the server default "Chat Report" for 1:1 DMs.The existing incremental update effects only re-process options when the report data itself changes (via
changedReportsEntries), but not whenreportAttributesindependently updates with newly computed names. This PR adds a dedicated effect that watches
reportAttributes.reportsand compares each option's current display name (text) against the derivedreportName. When they differ, the option'stextis updated to match the derived value. The effect uses an early return when no changes are detected to avoid unnecessary re-renders.Fixed Issues
