Summary

Innovation Cycle #52 — 5 features adding social structure, AI-driven styling, reputation lineages, AI-generated player profiles, and cross-platform content distribution.


1. Narrative Guilds & Faction Wars

  • Player-formed factions aligned to story Houses (max 50 members, 2 USDC registration)
  • Collective treasury betting with 70/20/10 yield distribution (members/reserve/leader)
  • 6-sector Void Map territory system — controlling guild earns passive yield
  • War declaration between rival-house guilds (3-chapter battles, War Trophy NFT)
  • Top guild monthly injects narrative agenda into Claude chapter generation

2. AI Style Oracle

  • Before each chapter: continuous auction for AI narrator personality

3. Prophet Lineage System

  • On-chain SBT tracks lineage

4. Void Mirror Protocol

  • Player betting behavior generates an AI Shadow Self character
  • Attributes derived from accuracy, risk, guild role, temporal bets, betrayal history
  • Top 10 Shadow Selves by power become named lore entries
  • Dynamic NFT updates as Shadow evolves

5. Fragment Hunt Protocol

  • 7 chapter fragments distributed pre-release across social platforms (X, Farcaster, Telegram, Discord, Reddit)
  • Collect 5+ for Early Access NFT + bet multiplier
  • Fragment 7: encrypted on-chain, decrypted by last chapter's top bettor

Every 10th chapter is a 'Blank Chapter' auctioned to the highest bidder.

- Rewrite getWeeklyChampions: JS aggregation → single DB GROUP BY
  - Was: SELECT all winning bets → JS Map reduce → N+1 user fetch
  - Now: Single SQL JOIN+GROUP BY returns ranked rows in one query

## Security
- Fix SQL injection in platform-stats/route.ts
  - Was: timeframeCutoff interpolated directly into $queryRawUnsafe
  - Now: parameterized $queryRaw with typed Date parameter

## Bug Fixes
- Fix walletAddress vs userId mismatch in betting/place route
  - Frontend sends walletAddress; route expected userId (silent failure)
  - Route now accepts walletAddress, upserts user, resolves userId correctly

## UX / Frontend
- Hero.tsx: remove mounted guard causing CLS on first paint
  - No wallet/hydration-sensitive state in Hero; guard was unnecessary
- Navbar: replace <a> with Next.js <Link> across all nav items
  - <a> was triggering full-page reloads instead of SPA navigation
- Navbar: add passive: true to scroll event listener (less main-thread work)
- Navbar: memoize scroll handler with useCallback
- BettingInterface: memoize countdown timer with useCallback
- BettingInterface: add ARIA label + aria-describedby to bet input

## Code Quality
- Replace console.error/warn/log with logger utility across 37 API routes
  - logger silences debug output in production while keeping error/warn
- next.config.js: add @tanstack/react-query to optimizePackageImports
- next.config.js: add optimisticClientCache for faster perceived navigation
- Remove unused imports (useState in Hero)
