This is the long term support version. Will not actually merge this now. Only one significant incompatibility was detected while testing and this commit fixes it. Passes all tests. If you are the next maintainer, use this to get started upgrading the dependencies.

Upgrades to the current LTS version of Django. Fixes the only major incompatibility I saw in brief testing. All tests passing.
Recommend next maintainer merge this in once they can.
