To fix the problem, we should replace the usage of
xml.etree.ElementTreewith thedefusedxml.ElementTreemodule, which is designed to prevent XML attacks, including XML bomb attacks. This change will ensure that the XML parser does not expand internal entities, thus mitigating the risk of denial-of-service attacks.xml.etree.ElementTreewithdefusedxml.ElementTree.ET(ElementTree) is used to ensure they reference thedefusedxmlmodule.Suggested fixes powered by Copilot Autofix.
