Switches to FTP, and adds a bunch of comments for things we still need to do...
Deletes unused variables. We don't need to instantiate up_* vars before using them.
Removed whitespace. We should probably run the test again.
Cleans things up a little better.
Removes a comment about ftp_addr creation.
