The SECOND Release of FOSS Root Checker is OUT NOW! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Changes :

  • Added an Info Panel Showcasing a Detailed Check of What Root Traces are Found or Not.
  • Replaced Busybox icon from Icons.Rounded.Terminal to a Box.
  • Fixed that Theme and Use System Colours used the SAME Icon Icons.Rounded.Palette. Now Use System Colours uses Icons.Rounded.Brush
  • Dropped the [ FOSS ] text in the Top Bar to accommodate the Info Button and avoid problems in Larger Scalings.
  • Moved a Spacer to the isOfflineRelease check so that the Padding is Ideal and not excessive in the OFFLINE RELEASE.
  • The Search Root Feature has More Paths now.
  • Moved the Emoji Position in Update Checker from Front to Back. Example : "🎉 v36.23.2.0 is OUT NOW!" becomes "v36.23.2.0 is OUT NOW! 🎉".

How it works?

Note

All checks are performed on a background thread (Dispatchers.IO) to ensure your device remains responsive during the scan.

  • If "Search Root" is pressed, it Checke 40+ System Paths to Find Traces of Root Access. If it finds, Root Traces are Found. If not it is clearly shown.
  • Now if "Verify Root" is pressed the App Executes su -c id and if it returns 0, Root Access is Verified. Else, Root Access not Available.
  • For BusyBox Checker, it checks BusyBox Specefix Paths. If not Found, the App executes su -c which busybox to verify BusyBox Installation.
