+Another PyCon US has come to an end, and our hearts are full of gratitude, joy, reflection, and community love.
+
+For Black Python Devs, PyCon US 2026 was more than just a conference. It was a space to reconnect with old friends, meet new community members, celebrate achievements, create conversations, and continue building representation and belonging within the Python ecosystem.
+
+As we return home and begin reflecting on the conference, we wanted to take a moment to share some of the experiences and memories that made this year so meaningful for our community.
+
+## The Community at the Black Python Devs Booth
+

+One of the most special parts of PyCon US every year is our community booth.
+
+Over 3 years, the Black Python Devs booth has become more than just a table in the Expo Hall. It has become a gathering place — a space where people stop by to say hello, learn more about our mission, share stories, ask questions, exchange stickers, laugh together, and simply feel connected.
+
+Throughout the conference, we had the opportunity to meet attendees from diverse backgrounds, countries, and tech experiences. Some people were discovering Black Python Devs for the first time, while others have been following and supporting our work for years.
+
+Those conversations matter deeply to us.
+
+Community spaces like these remind us that representation and visibility matter, and that creating welcoming spaces in tech remains important.

+## Meaningful Conversation Through Our Open Space

+This year, we also hosted an Open Space during the conference.
+
+Open Spaces are always special because they create room for honest conversations and community connection outside of formal talks and presentations. They allow people to share experiences, discuss challenges, exchange ideas, and simply connect as humans.

+We are grateful to everyone who joined us, participated in the conversation, and helped create such a welcoming and thoughtful environment.
+
+Moments like these are a reminder that some of the most impactful parts of conferences happen in community-led spaces.

+## Joining the PSF Booth “Chop It Up Session”

+Another meaningful moment during the conference was participating in a special “Chop It Up Session” at the Python Software Foundation booth.
+
+It was an opportunity to connect with attendees in a more direct, conversational way while sharing experiences in community building, representation, and involvement in the Python ecosystem.

+We truly appreciate the opportunity to collaborate and share space with other members of the broader Python community.

+## Celebrating Community Achievements

+This year also brought moments of celebration and recognition that made our entire community proud.
+
+We are incredibly proud to celebrate [**Jay Miller**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/kjaymiller/), founder of Black Python Devs, for receiving the Community Service Award during PyCon US 2026\.
+
+This recognition reflects years of dedication, leadership, mentorship, advocacy, and community work that have positively impacted countless people across the Python ecosystem and beyond.
+
+Jay’s work continues to inspire many people in our community, and we are grateful for everything he has done to create spaces where others can grow, connect, and belong.
+
+We also want to celebrate [**Denny Perez**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/dennyperez18/), Executor for the Latam region at Black Python Devs, for receiving the PyLady Outstanding Award during the conference.

+- The quick “thank you” moments.
+- The new friendships.
+- The community photos.
+- The moments of support and encouragement.
+
+Those are the moments that continue to shape and strengthen our communities.

+Black Python Devs exists because community matters. Because representation matters. Because people deserve spaces where they can feel welcomed, supported, and seen.

+And this year at PyCon US, we felt that spirit everywhere.
