Tests were timing out in GitHub Actions after 6 minutes but passing locally in ~4 minutes. The issue was caused by pytest-xdist using 'auto' mode which can cause resource contention in CI environments. Changes: - Limited pytest workers to 2 (-n 2) for stable CI execution - Added explicit 10-minute timeout to prevent hanging - Applied fix to all Python versions (3.10, 3.11, 3.12) This ensures tests run reliably in the constrained GitHub Actions environment while maintaining reasonable execution time.
