ide-rule-detector helps find potentially harmful rule files used by code editing software, often called IDEs (Integrated Development Environments). It scans files like .cursorrules, .clinerules, .windsurfrules, and important rule documents such as CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md. These files can sometimes be manipulated to affect how your code editor works or introduce unwanted behavior.
Detecting these patterns keeps your development environment safer and prevents hidden interference while working on your projects.
