v1.0.0 — OpenIWPI initial release (Modelica & FMI Conference 2025)
v1.0.0 — OpenIWPI initial release (Modelica & FMI Conference 2025)
First public release of OpenIWPI — the Open-Instance Wave-Phasor Interface library — the open-source companion to the paper presented at the 16th International Modelica & FMI Conference (Lucerne, Sep 8–10, 2025).
OpenIWPI couples phasor-based (TS) and electromagnetic-transient (EMT) power-system models so converter-rich grids can be simulated — and linearized — as a single hybrid model in Modelica, without co-simulation.
What's included
- Wave-phasor interface and a hybrid bus that connect an OpenIPSL phasor node to MSL Electrical (EMT) pins.
- Utilities: Clarke and Park transformations, a resettable integrator, the Second-Order Generalized Integrator (SOGI), and the DSOGI-PLL.
- Example:
Examples.SimpleCircuit, a two-bus case demonstrating recovery of the positive-sequence current phasor.
Dependencies
- OpenIPSL v3.1.0, Modelica Standard Library 4.0.0, Complex 4.0.0.
- Developed and tested with Dymola 2025x.
Known limitations
Examples.ConverterCircuitis a placeholder pending integration; the STATCOM example it represents was presented in de Castro & Vanfretti, OSMSES 2022 (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9769157).
