pytest failing

followed the installation instructions and then ran pytest ./track1/src

I cannot reproduce your issue. I suspect you have (at least) a bad version of numpy. Are you sure you followed the instructions using a fresh conda environment? Did you activated your environment?

I did:

conda create -n zrc2017_test python=2
conda activate zrc2017_test
git clone --recursive git@github.com:bootphon/zerospeech2017.git
cd zerospeech2017
./track1/setup/setup_track1.sh 
pytest ./track1/src

and got 137 passed, 299 warnings in 21.58 seconds. Can you try it again?
