I came here to ask exactly this. Verok unnoficial patch already does this for cars, hope it isnt too difficult to add this to this wrapper/port. I just love this game.

Let me say you that Im grateful for your work, I spent 2 hours playing the game yesterday as if I was a child again. The wrapper is really great.
