<p>员外家的烧饼不好吃，但每天依然都会排很长很长的队。过往本县的商贾行人，停下脚步，从这蛇形的队伍中，猜测出员外家烧饼的绝世美味，于是他们也排上了队。</p>
<p>员外家的烧饼是我爷爷打的，我爷爷打的烧饼我爹天天都吃，从吃第一口，我爹就知道这烧饼徒有虚名，不如矮个子家打的好吃。矮个子打的烧饼又香又脆，最好是趁热吃，皮如瓜干瓤如肉，就着菜，喝着汤，一头汗，满口香。我爷爷打的烧饼，则不同，涩口胀胃，味同嚼蜡。但他夹烧饼时熟练的手法，以及唤吆喝时中气十足的嗓门，显示出了他一代宗师的风范，人们管他叫“烧饼艺术家”。</p>
