Hi, I'm currently using package v. ^1.0.1

At this moment, on alert spawn, if it's not touched, it blocks screen's gestures as soon as the screen gets clicked.

Any idea about?

I'm having the same issue. For 3-5 seconds after an alert is shown, screen is not getting touch / mouse gestures.
You can see this by using https://app.karmaco.in - send an appreciation and try to click any hot element in the screen. Everything is frozen....
Thanks for this nice package - It the best we found for doing alerts in our app but this issue will have to make us switch to another library unless it can be fixed.

Hi @lorenzovianello-vivaldigroup — sorry for the delay!

The gesture blocking was related to the same root cause as #19: when dismissOnBackgroundTap was true, showDialog() was used internally, which creates a barrier that absorbs all touch events until the dialog is dismissed. Since the auto-dismiss wasn't properly cleaning up the dialog route, the barrier lingered and blocked gestures.

This is fully fixed in v2.0.0:

• The showDialog approach has been completely removed.
• Both modes now use OverlayEntry with IgnorePointer wrapping the alert content, so underlying widgets remain fully interactive while the alert is visible.
• The overlay is properly cleaned up after the dismiss animation completes.

Please upgrade to status_alert: ^2.0.0. Closing as resolved.
