Not sure if same issue, but I'm getting a lot of buffer overflow errors:

$ fatresize --verbose --size 41943039999 /dev/sdb4 
*** buffer overflow detected ***: terminated
Aborted (core dumped)

Using Fedora, trying to resize a partition on an SD card

For the buffer overflow try to recompile from sources (install parted development package first) and then the buffer overflow will be gone.

For the Segmentation fault I think it's because libparted is too recent. I've got the same behaviour on Fedora 40. Can you try with an older version of parted? (pre 3.0)

Reading the above comments there may be a few different issues... here's mine, on attached file (see at the end). Looks like some data structures are corrupted ? "geom" is an invalid pointer
