[update_mtdb] Enabling taxonomic rank changes for initialized database

Is there a way to update a previously created mycotoolsDB to a higher taxonomic rank? Say, if I had one with Agaricales, but wanted to update it to Basidiomycota? Is there a specific way to do this and rename the database to reflect the update?

If your talking about the primary MTDB, you cannot currently do this from the update command.

You can update the lineages in your MTDB install directory mycotoolsdb/config/mtdb.json and update the lineage constraints manually there. Then run an update.

Ok, so change the "branch" section to fungi and then run mtdb update -i /path/to/mycotoolsDB ?

You update the lineage_constraints entry.

e.g.: lineages_constraints: {'phylum': ['basidiomycota', 'ascomycota']}
