I removed both files from tda.pk3, and it fixes the problem. Thanks, @C-ColinTH 😃
I don't think this solves the issue, though, because the fix involves the player manually editing files that the player shouldn't have to edit to see clearer fonts.

It's not caused by code, if the mod has its own additional fonts, it is usually created by the mod author.
