ESP32-S3 Wifi/Firmware installation Issue

What happened?

I got myself some Waveshare ESP32-S3s and tried to install WLED on them. I flashed them using install.wled.me. All exhibited the same pattern of Installing fine but being unable to provision wifi. I checked if this was a board issue by flashing ESPHome and provisioning but that worked fine. I tried different APs but none worked. The logs showed following:

I tried V0.15.4 as well but that led to bootlooping on the ESP

To Reproduce Bug

Flash ESP32-S3 using install.wled.me and use webpage to try and provision to wifi

Expected Behavior

Establish wifi connection

@stormrider3106 this problem could be related to a known issues with the RX pin, caused by different behaviour in the new Espressif framework used in 16.0.0.

• No ADAlight response on esp32 with wled 16 or 17 #5501

We have only seen the problem on classic esp32, but it possibly affects esp32-S3 and boards with "UART-to-USB bridge" chip as well.
Does Setting the WiFi credentials in AP mode (connect to WLED-AP, password wled1234) still work for you?

I checked and Serial appears to work fine. v prints the proper [20:25:40]WLED 2605030. I think it might have something to do with Wifi init or similar because it's not broadcasting an AP either so probably there's something wrong there?
