Housenumber_additional showing on init when default country is Nederland.

In admin you can set the default country to Nederland (under stores -> config -> sales->  tax -> default country). But if that is set on init of the checkout the Housenumber_additional select is showing  with no options in it. If I choose a different country and then switch back to Nederland the selectbox is hidden. Do you have any idea on how to fix this?
