PHP 8.4 / 8.5 compatibility

I was wondering what is holding back PHP 8.4 / 8.5 compatibility.

I am demanding an update, but want to collect anything that is a known issue in here so we can push it towards those php versions together.

Are there any known issues?

And another question is: would dropping versions to get that compatibility be an okay way or is there some reason which needs 8.1?
It reached security update end of life this month: https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php

@func0der we did not test slimdump with PHP 8.4 yet. To my knowledge, there are no known issues.

We do not need to keep PHP 8.1 support.

We actively use slimdump in our daily work, so we will definitely support new versions.

The v1.17.0 release (hopefully) fixes this. It also adds DBAL 4 and Symfony 8 compatibility.

lol, I just finished and then read this.
You managed to keep 8.1 in there, and I just got rid of it. I think for the sake of the community, that you approach is better suited :)

Just a quick question about the test workflow. Shouldn't there be a update --prefer-lowest in the mix, to actually fully test this with the extremes of the package version constraints or is there just enough trust in the community to skip that one?
