Enhancing Wagtail’s images and documents to support better auditing / history tracking, similarly to pages. Mockup:

Intended outcome

  • Version history: View past versions of images and documents; including versioning metadata (who, when)
  • Revert; Compare versions: For images and documents. Including file data (diff with a slider?) and attached metadata / fields.
  • TBC: drafts and published versions; scheduled publishing; locking; workflows
  • TBC: audit trail improvements
