500 error

I'm having a difficult time debugging this (can't get the php error or apache log error, if there is one), but it looks like the plugin is having some trouble generating a response. I only get a 500 internal server error. I'm using Wordpress 3.9.1, has this been tested w/ that version?

I have been getting a few random 500 server errors as well. About 1/100 requests throw 500 server errors.

@mattpardee @srhise have either of you experienced this recently, or perhaps have any log data to share?
