Looking for Samples to deploy VMs from Content Library via the API

IHAC that is looking for using the API to deploy Virtual Machine from Content Library. also i have found some topics around using vRO to create workflows for such a use case.

Can this be done ? do we have any documentation around using API that way with or without vRO ?
