We are running the maxctrl_exporter as a sidecar in kubernetes to maxscale

I can't say the exact problem without knowing all the configurations. It seems the Exporter sends the wrong credentials to the MaxScale server for MariaDB. There are two environment variables for connection to the underlying database: MAXSCALE_USERNAME and MAXSCALE_PASSWORD. Could you check if they are set properly?
