Installing agent jar

@varunchauhan49 , i'm in a process of instrumenting Node js example project with glowroot. Where we need to specify/install the agent jar(glowroot.jar), inorder to monitor the node application. Also, is there any specific agent version you recommend inorder to instrument this example project(glowroot-node-agent).

Hi, This node agent will be only impact if the parameters expected by the glowroot change. Since the communication between agent and client is via gRPC so i think it will hardly change. If it has then you need to build jar for previous version and test. I would recommend that you try first.

Thanks for your quick response. I have been following the instructions listed in README.md file, and started the example app using npm start. Here is the output, i see on my console:

process.env.NODE_AGENT_APPS=example (i have added NODE_AGENT_APPS:example, in package.json)
Server running on port 8000.

I have made rest calls (localhost:8000/api/search/test1) and got the response back. But, i was not able to see the nodeagent on the glowroot ui. The glowroot is running on localhost:4000.

Any suggestions would be helpful.!
