Description
Background
ERC-8001 is an Ethereum standard that defines a minimal on-chain primitive for multi-party autonomous agent coordination. It enables agents to coordinate securely without trusted intermediaries, and has been gaining traction in the broader blockchain AI ecosystem.
As AI agents are becoming key participants in on-chain economies, TRON should explore adopting a native agent coordination standard to stay competitive and support the emerging agentic use cases across DeFi, gaming, and commerce.
This issue serves as the central place to discuss and track the progress of adapting ERC-8001 for the TRON network.
Topics for Discussion
- Feasibility and necessity of agent coordination primitives on TRON
- Key differences between TVM and EVM that may affect the adaptation
- Compatibility with existing TRC standards and TRON infrastructure
- Potential use cases on TRON (DeFi, gaming, agentic commerce, etc.)
- Relationship with other AI-agent-related standards (ERC-8004, etc.)
- Naming convention under the TIP framework
- Timeline and milestones
