Implementing MkDocs will nuke anything currently in the gh-pages branch. Let me know if you guys want to configure that, or if you'd like me to migrate what I can to the MkDocs platform @jranson

if possible, lets preserve the artifacts in the /images directory on the gh-pages branch (even if that means just committing them into main as the primary source). Those are actively linked in posts on our social media accounts, so losing them would break a lot of tweets. Also the CNAME file is required for github to allow our custom domain name. index.html and roadmap/index.html are good to be nuked, since the MkDocs will fully subsume their use case.

Working draft

Your CNAME and the images in gh-pages will be preserved using a workaround:

• Copies of those images were made in branch main in directory docs/images
• Those copies allow them to be pushed to the gh-pages branch in directory /images every time the documentation gets redeployed

Some questions

• The working draft is a pretty early draft but is also a good starting point -- what changes should I make to it and what is the vision moving forward?
• Just want to confirm y'all are ok with using Material for MkDocs. Each page can be made from Markdown which can be customized w/ HTML, Javascript, and CSS (tho Material for MkDocs does most of the work and has useful extensions)

Note that I will be difficult to contact over the next week or so, but I can start some work today!
